Old stomping ground

Wednesday 26th November
Nothing planned just look to see what has changed since we were last here.
Decided to catch the 38 tram to Grinzing, the wine village a couple of km from where we use to live.
Unfortunately the old clunkers are on the way out, i know the new ones make much more sence but they don't have the same character.
Walking to the tram stop we passed through three squares and all had xmas markets. Had to stop at one for more hot punch. Well it is only 3 degrees so it is only for medical purposes. Found a stall selling their version of Tia Maria, schnapps based. Could not go without getting a bottle of chocolate mint mix, yum.

Grinzing has not changed, still lots of character and bought back so many memories for us. We were blessed having the 3 years living in Vienna.

Lunch in a little Heurigan (wine bar with food).
Drinks and dinner with a dear friend I worked with in Coke Vienna in the late 1990's. It was good seeing her and she spoilt us rotten taking us for a pre-dinner drink in a great little wine bar then dinner in a restaurant which just cooks traditional Viennese food. The Ganzel was great. (Goose with red cabbage) Thanks Brigitte.
