Thursday 13 th November
Easy stroll through the back streets this morning and a slack afternoon to recharge batteries.
As we have a tour with a local guide tonight to sample good Spanish wine and Tapas. It was only 7 of us in the group, meeting at 7:30 so dark when we started.
The guide turned out to be a student wine maker and appeared to know his Spanish Wines but was quite familiar with the Yarra, Barossa and Hunter.
Visited 6 little bars, glass of wine in each and a small something to eat in each. Dried ham and sheep cheese in the first, garlic shrimp and fish balls in the second, green peppers and chick peas etc etc. Some great deserts in the last one.
You can see Carolyn holding herself back from the garlic shrimps, I think not.
Great way to finish our time in Madrid, we leave with a good impression and fond memories.
Follow George and Carolyn to France, Spain, Austria and Singapore
