Another early wander around town where we found the area of old book shops, then into the Alcazar Sevilla. It is the oldest Royal Palace still in use, although updated a number of times it was originally built in the 11 th Century. The palace is wall and you enter through a large arch in the wall to a courtyard with a building on each side. It was OK but not really ure what the fuss was about. Beautiful old tiles. Then in the back corner of one building asmall staircase which opened into the main palace. Now we see what all the fuss is about. Obviously the first area was for general gest reception. You can not let the plebs see how you are living in the Palace, the tiled floors must have been great for the kids with rollerblades. The tiles and water made it quite cool, it gets to 48 degrees regularly here apparently.
Then out the back the gardens which wre just magic.
